The right start for a nice excursion into Siciy's hinterland: Not too hard, but not boring, either! Your warm-up will be on an asphalt road ascenting into the direction of Castelbuono. Soon, you will leave the comfort that a nice tar road provides. But you will be rewarded by a beautiful view at Castelbuono! A road-metal track will lead you to famous Porcupine Trail. Pollina is worth your visist, for sure, not only for the original Sicilian capucchino. Our lunch in a remote Sicilian inn (Luogo Marchese) and a spectacular view as far as smoking Mount Aetna are just some of the high-lights this tour provides! This tour's championship will be determined on the road along the coast back to the hotel.
mostly quiet asphalt minor roads, very nice off-road trails, especially Porcupine trail. Do not forget an additional tube! Same level of difficulty as our trip to Castelbuono! Do not forget a warm jacket for the ride down-hill!
